まったくRubyを知らない状態で読んでみた。
最初は1.8.7でやってたんだけど、やっぱり世間的には1.9なようなので途中で1.9に変更。この本では1.9に対応と書いてあるのだけど、ところどころ1.8のままの部分があって疑問。
例えば1.8ではrequireに相対パスを入れられたのだけど、1.9で相対パスで指定する場合にはrequire_relativeにする必要があるのだけど、(たぶん)一切その記述がない。それから、gemでnokogiriをインストールして進める項があるのだけど、環境によってエラーが出るらしくて、どうしてもわからずそこだけは読み飛ばした。

まあほんとの入門と云う感じでしたが、とりあえず動かせたので良かったです。それからエディタもgvimとかnotepad++とかサクラエディタとかいろいろいじってみて、emacsとvi(vim)も触ってみようかな、という気持ちになりました。
